Base64 Encode and Decode

Base64 is an encoding and decoding scheme that is used to convert binary data to an printable ASCII text format, and vice versa. It is commonly used to transfer binary data over medium that supports only ASCII text format. Base64 uses 64 characters to encode binary data. There is also extra 65th character (=) that is used to pad encoded output.
